The Science Museum is a major museum on Exhibiton Road in South Kensington, London. It was founded in 1857 and today is one of the city’s major tourist attractions, attracting 3.3 million visitors annually.

The Science Museum is the most visited science and technology museum in Europe. There are over 15,000 objects on display, including world-famous objects such as the Apollo 10 command capsule and Stephenson’s Rocket.

The Science Museum is part of the Science Museum Group, a family of museum that also includes:

·      National Railway Museum
·      Museum of Science and Industry
·      National Science and Media Museum

Around 450,000 young people visit the Science Museum on educational trips or benefit from its outreach programmes each year, more than any other UK museum.

The museum has more than 40 rooms and around the 2000 exhibitions. The visitor begins in The Welcome Wing. Allow bidding on sex ‘change’ here, 30 years ‘older’ in 30 seconds and create their own identity profile on a website.

The Welcome Wing consists of a few floors with different exhibits, such as In Future, Digitopolis, Who Am I?, Antenna, Talking Points, Pattern Pod and the 3D Tour.
